Choosing a Tri Suit
Whether you are a man or a woman, when it comes to choosing a
race suit there are two options.
All in One Tri Suits
The most common suit these days is an all in one tri suit. You
can wear this for the whole event, even if it is a non wetsuit
swim, and there is less chance of chaffing. The material is
suitable to swim in and dries out fast. Some suits also wick sweat
away from the body too.
Two Piece Tri Suits
The two piece suit is rarely seen these days, and the only
reason people tend to wear them is because they feel a bit
restricted in a one piece. The two piece tri suit offers a bit
more flexibility and will keep you a fraction cooler in hot
conditions.
Whichever style you choose, a tri suit should always be very
tight fitting so that it keeps shape during the swim and doesn’t
flap around on the bike. Although triathlon suits are designed to
be tight fit, there should certainly not be any restriction in
your breathing.
