Andrew Johns wins bronze in New Zealand.
| Johns, 34, broke away on the cycle leg with 13 others, including fellow Britons Stuart Hayes and Alistair Brownlee, and dug in to take third. While world number one Javier Gomez as he’s done so many times before, smashed the run to take gold at New Plymouth. The run course was accurately measured at 10.2 kilometers, which Gomez clocked at 29:37.“It’s amazing, two weeks, two victories. This was my best race ever. It’s the best way to start the season. It was a difficult race and I am very happy.” said Gomez. |
