Richard Allen
Richard is one of the most successful ever British triathletes. He is the only triathlete to have won 9 National Elite British Championships covering every triathlon distance and duathlon. In the UK victories include all the major British classics of London, Half Ironman UK and Windsor. In the US he has finished top 5 in Chicago, St Anthony’s and St Croix. He has a personal best World Ranking of 9th. Richard was very proud to be part of the Sydney Olympic Games Squad and the Manchester Commonwealth Games Squad. As a junior he won the European Triathlon Championships and finished 2nd twice at the World Championships.
Rob Bird
Rob Bird Msc (Exercise Physiologist / Clinical exercise consultant) is a fully qualified personal trainer and specializes in rehab, he has been working in the fitness industry since 1994. Rob has acquired a unique combination of qualifications and experience. He is certified by the YMCA, British Association of cardiac rehabilitation (BACR) and The American college of Sports Medicine (ACSM). He has recently acquired his master’s degree in Exercise and Behavioral medicine at the Thames Valley University where he gained a distinction.
Rob’s particular areas of expertise are in Clinical exercise, working successfully in both primary and secondary disease prevention. He runs his own exercise / lifestyle consultancy in Hertfordshire and is clinical exercise advisor for many local organisations and support groups. He currently has a varied and interesting client base ranging from recreational athletes to Heart failure patients who range in age from 16 to 91 years old.
These guys are at the top of their profession and will endeavor to answer triathlon and fitness related questions and comments or reply should you take the time to leave a comment on a blog item.
